Been a while, Trying for a year now...

Postby treens » Wed Nov 12, 2014 1:50 am

Hi guys, I have been on every once and a while but not much.

My husband and I started to plan for twins over 1 year ago and our first attempt was in December 2013. We started with clomid, injectables and trigger and we were both on lots of vitamins for 3 months. We were also swaying for for boys so I was on the HE diet. So we did 2 months of injectables/ clomid/ trigger. Then 1 month clomid/ trigger. 3 more months of trying with just high folic acid prenatal. Then we took 2 months off I got a few tests done I seem all fine but husband has low count. So for 3 months he went on clomid. 3 moths of trying again of just prenatal. Now our last attempt was with clomid 3-7. I am now on cd 30 with a 26-31 day cycle. I have not tested, I will wait it out till friday. I have tested so much in the last year its crazy LOL

So through all this I have staid on the HE diet as best I can to try to get boys. After this I have to stop LOL I have gained 10 lbs and am not happy with my self. I have started to work out 5x a week and am enjoying it now that i have been doing it and am in a routine.

Oh and a side note my husband had a vasectomy before we met and he had a reversal done in May 2011 our DD was born June 2012. We are not sure if maybe our trouble has to do with scaring over or sperm antibodies. But we are still working on it ;)

My husband and I hope and pray that we will get another sweet bundle of joy. 2 would be great boys even better. But we do not feel picky anymore, just a sweet healthy baby will due! BUT if for some reason we are unable to we are so grateful with our little girl, she is the most amazing child. We are also grateful for my husbands 2 daughters and my daughter and son. With 5 children we should be happy and we are but we would be complete with one more ;)

Thanks for listening to my rant :)

Welcome Back! I love your story. Sometimes when ladies share on here we get only the very basics. I love that you shared you trials with us.

I am very hopeful for you and expect to see your BFP posts soon. Sperm testing is the easiest to manage at home as far as I am concerned. even a cheap microscope can tell you if he has a large or small count. a regular PH strip can tell you if his PH is out of normal range. Thickness is easily determined and also all of those things can be much more easily corrected and in a very short time frame as compared to some of the challenges a lot of the ladies on here face. I am excited for you!!!

Welcome back Treens! I was wondering what hubby's dose of clomid was and if when you retested how much it helped.
