We are going to be building an FAQ section on the TTCT 101 section of the site. To do this, I need some help.

If you are new to TTCT, what questions do you have? If you aren't new, what questions did you have? What are the most common questions that seem to be popping up on here?

Why do you use a trigger if you ovulate naturally? (Seems obvious but this was one of my first questions)
Why are most women taking folic acid?
Why would sweet cassavva be better than taking folic acid or folate?
What protocols have yielded twins?
How many women have successfully rec'd their twins without using IVF?
What countries/facilities are more receptive to putting back more than 1 embryo so you can get your twins?
Is there any hope for women over 45 TTCT?
Why do some women think they ovulate more than two eggs in a month without other stimulation when most doctors disagree?
WHat is the myth regarding superovulaiton? Is it true?
How can I change my diet to increase my chances for twins?
What supplements are best to increase my chances?
If you were TTCTwins, and ended up with a singleton did you have any depression regarding getting pg that time? ANy lingering bad feelings toward the baby or during your pregnancy? SImilar to gender dissapointment? (THis would require ultimate honesty so there may be people unwilling to tell the truth, but Im super cuirous about the answer to this question.)
WHy do you want twins? or triplets? DO you have any feelings toward the women dubbed octomom for not deciding to reduce and going through with giving birth and caring for 8 children at once? DO you wish to have more than 2/3 at once.. LIke 4?
Once you get your desired amount of Higher multiples how do you plan on supporting these children? WOuld you have to go back to work, work a second job? Or are you going to be a SAHM?
Why do you think some women think we are just crazy to put ourselves through this?
Do you have a supportive partner? DOes he know that you are TTCTwins?
Why is it that we don't end up pg with more children when we ovulate 10-20 eggs using medication? What is the deal about our body choosing one egg to ovulate? HOw can we bipass the effect of our body choosing the one egg it wants to ovulate? WHat happens in older women to cause them to ovulate more than one egg at a time that doesnt happen when you are younger? How can we take advantage of that?

I can go on and on.. Ill let others put some? in now. LOL!

Hi mommiebear, from what Ive read in the previous week and Im sorry I cant remember where I read it online and I hope I explain it properly. If you are older than 35, although its a sliding scale and not like at 35 exactly this happens, you need to release more follicles to have the same chance as a younger woman. Something like doctors would be more worried if you were 25 and released 6 follicles than if you were 38 and released 6 follicles. What I got from the article is because Im older (36 yrs old) it wouldnt be too concerning if I released more follicles than what doctors typically consider a safe amount of 1 or 2 etc because generally younger women have a better chance at conceiving.
